Since the foundation of the Altona EMMC congregation was laid 75 years ago, God's hand has been evident in the lives of those who have allowed His Spirit to touch their hearts. The founders left a lasting legacy of faith, and today we continue to be the beneficiaries of God's unfailing and abundant grace.

The stories that could be told are countless. They speak of seasons of remarkable growth as well as times of struggle and discouragement.  Yet through every season, God has remained faithful.  His Word has continued to guide this congregation, enabling it to reach out to the community and experience the fruit that comes through faithful preaching, loving fellowship, and Christ-centered ministry.

Your founding leaders chose as their guiding verse 1 Corinthians 3:11: “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”  That truth has stood the test of time.  God continues to honour that vision, and today He is still calling this congregation to step forward in faith, proclaim His Word, rely on the power of the Holy Spirit, and continue building upon the only sure foundation—Jesus Christ.

As we celebrate God's faithfulness over the past 75 years, we also look ahead with expectation. The message on July 12 will be based on 1 Corinthians 13:11 and Isaiah 54:2–3, reminding us that God calls His people to mature in faith; and now set their eyes on His horizon, and prepare for the greater work He has yet to accomplish through this congregation.
